Exception-3

This time, I mention to the one of a minority race the Qiang Tribe who lives in rGyalrong (rGyalmorong or Queen Valley). The name of the Qiang Tribe carries several heterogeneous histories. There was "the Qiang Tribe" what moved south repeatedly from thousands of years before, and there was another "Qiang Tribe" what was defined in a wide sense at such as the ancient history book, moreover there is one more Qiang Tribe of which the present minority race. These are overlap in the part, but not the same. It must be attentive what anyone cannot discuss correctly if they make talking without distinguishing between these Qiang Tribe, and repel the local peoples who has strong pride and identity.
The photograph is the woman of present Qiang Tribe. Their colonies are left here and there in the eastern part of the Queen Valley and the region to be more east. But there is no common Qiang language and their dialect what is in the away place is hard to understand each other. Now a day the traffic and the communication became convenient then the range of the traffic and the economic activity got widely, then the experience to speak local Qiang dialect is decreasing and the experience to speak Shichian dialect or Beijing dialect of the Chinese language as their common language is increasing in younger generation especially. Moreover, the Qiang language is teaching very few even at the school in the autonomous prefecture. From a viewpoint in the cultural inheritance, it is a pity what the language of a minority race lost not only the Qiang language. However, it should understand candid as the result of the choice of the persons who are actually living.

Not to change the subject, but there are some tourists to say that the Qiang Tribe live in the Four Girls Mountains but not Tibetan. It should not the problem as the opinion on the cultural anthropology, but it should be speak after understanding the time and the place, because there is a big gap with the actuality. According to the several traditions, there had been small colonies of the Qiang Tribe around the Four Girls Mountains till about 50 years before. However, there is few Qiang Tribe around the present Four Girls Mountains. Almost every Qiang Tribe who lived in here before fused in the rGyalrong Tibetan or the Han Tribe (what is called the Chinese) who are the majority. Then it becomes difficult even look for a record or tradition when they were being the Qiang Tribe. Around the present Four Girls Mountains, the rGyalrong Tibetan is the majority. If you saying to them that "you are the Qiang Tribe" or "you are the posterity of the Qiang Tribe", they will displease and claim that their ancestors came from the west, settled here and grow the peculiar culture.
