August, 2002 : The queen of the flower in CLTC was robbed.
The Notbolirion bulbuliferum of a kind of the lily which was the queen of the flower in CLTC was robbed. The estimated day of the robbing is from August 1st to the 4th. There is big rock in the riverside in CLTC. It is the rock which is used to be camped. One lily bloomed on this rock. The lily was pulled out by the roots and was carried away. Much new garbage was thrown away under big rock. Every year, at the end of July to the beginning of August, the lily bloomed beautifully. The height of this lily is 1 m and can be seen from the distance. It was the queen of the flower in CLTC. By this robbing, one of the most beautiful scenery of the flower disappeared at Siguniangshan. In CLTC whole, this kind of the lily is on the verge of extinction.

Note : In recent years, the tourist who comes near Long Terrace Valley increased. This kind of the lily was robbed one after another. Then, it is on the verge of extinction. On the other neighbor valley where the person comes hardly, this kind of the lily still blooms. The other flowers are robbed, too. The flower of Primula graminifolia which blooms first after snow disappears is a typical example. This flower has a strong propagative power and grow in colonies over a wide area. However, we can not be relieved. Especially, a kind of the lily for the expensive herb medicine Fritillaria przewalskii Maxim. exBatal is on the verge of extinction in the whole Siguniangshan area.

July, 2002 : The cliff on the western side of the Pass on Mount Long Gorge collapsed.
The cliff on the western side of the Pass on Mount Long Gorge collapsed with the heavy rain in the second half of July. A mountain pass road was buried in the collapsing rock and earth and sand, but possible to walk. However, one of the root of the most beautiful blue poppy was buried and disappeared.

April, 2002 : Two English made first ascent from North Face to the highest peak.
English climber Mick Fowler and Paul Ramsden made first ascent from North Face to the highest peak 6250m. They cut opened new route. The Eastnorth Face, Westsouth Face and Southwest Ridge are sitll left.
