| November, 2006: The repair works of the plank path at Twin Bridge Valley and Long Terrace Valley are progressing.

The Larch Forest at Twin Bridge Valley(Shuangqiaogou) and the Withered Tree Ford at Long Terrace Valley(Changpinggou) and so on, the repair works of the plank path are progressing.
The road width became wider than before and came up with idea to prevent from slipping. Many rest area were provided, too.

| October, 2006: The representatives of the Earth Works Society and the childrens of the elementary school of Long Terrace Valley had a very happy time together.

The chairperson of directors Eiho Otani and his comrade who are representatives of the Earth Works Society visited the elementary school of Long Terrace Valley.
They inspected useing conditions of two notebook computers which are donated on last month by them and had a very happy time together
with the childrens and the person concerned of the local government and the school.

| September, 2006: The Earth Works Society donated a set of computer to the elementary school of Long Terrace Valley.

Last August, Earth Works Society (the chairperson of directors Eiho Otani) donated the cost of a set of computer about 20,000 RMB
to the elementary school of Long Terrace Valley which is in the foot of Four Girls Mountains.
The school bought two notebook computers and another equipments at this money and began to use them from September.
Because the school is a typical branch school on the mountain which is in the inconvenient environment, it expects that this set of computer and the Internet narrow the gap of education.
By this set of computer, it is also expected in the future that the school becomes a cultural center in the village and
it contributes for the hand down of the folk culture, and improvement of the medical treatment and health knowledge, too.
To expand this set of computer, Earth Works Society make an appeal for donation continuously.

By the trouble of the renewal contract of the site, the site address was changed to "http://www.sgns.gov.cn/scholaweb/conts.htm" from "http://www.eastalps.com/scholaweb/conts.htm".

Much fine weather continues from last September. From April to June, there was much snow and rainfall. It was the weather which like the common year.
However, there was much fine weather except these month. The lack of rainfall continues at the whole Sichuan Province.

| July, 2006: Four Girls Mountains was registered as the UNESCO World Natural Heritage.

July 12nd, Four Girls Mountains Nature Reserve was registered as the World Natural Heritage at the 30th general meeting of UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
The Wolong and Mount Jiajinshan were registered at the same time, too.
As for this, three Nature Reserve were registered as one neighboring habitat of the giant panda. It will be spur on the preparation of the Nature Reserve.

| July, 2006: The robbing and the smuggling of the Cypripedium.

From June to July, many Cypripedium tibeticum and Cypripedium flavum yellow are in bloom. However, these Cypripedium are decreased by the robbing.
By the information from the famous alpine plant researcher in Japan, the Cypripedium which was robbed around the Four Girls Mountains is sold in Japan by the name of "Syoukin Cypripedium".
The management bureau take measures by the early autumn when the root of the Cypripedium are robbed.

| April, 2006: The taxi operation was ordered to suspend in Twin Bridge Valley and Long Terrace Valley.

Because of the reinforcement of the environmental protection, the taxi operation was ordered to suspend. Instead of it, the service of the shuttle bus was step up and became more convenient.
